Summer courses

The summer courses and the monthly courses have been created in such a way that each student can study or improve his or her abilities in some area of personal interest. They represent the possibility for an alternative kind of study-vacation in Florence, a city unique in all the world for its artistic treasures. The prestigious headquarters of the institute are found in Piazza Pitti, in the heart of historic Florence, just a few steps away from the most important monuments in all the world. From the terrace of the Accademia one can enjoy a 360? view of the city. At the end of the course a certificate of attendance will be awarded.

Fashion Design - intensive course

This course approaches the subject in a concise and structured manner in order to offer the student a significant and complete experience in a short time. To introduce the student to an understanding of the "fashion system", certain subjects fundamental to the designer are covered - fashion illustration, collection theory and color techniques. The course is completed by visits, encounters and seminars with experts in the field of fashion design. The course lasts one month for a total of 90 lesson hours, and is offered in June and in July.

Fashion Illustration

This program, which lasts one month and covers 40 lesson hours, is a summer course held in the months of June and July. Fashion is examined from the illustration point of view, study of the human figure, definition of the fashion illustration, fashion design with graphic effects of volume and fabric consistence. Various color techniques are used and different kinds of garments both for man and woman (elegant, casual, sportswear, bathing suits, etc.) are considered.
